1. MINIBUS HIRE! What restrictions are in place to hire a minibus?
You must be at least 30 years old and have the category D1 on your license.
2. How long must i have held my license before i can hire from CSD?
You must have held a license for 1 years minimum
3. How old do i have to be to drive vehicles?
You must be over 25 to drive a Central self drive vehicle, however there are vehicles that Central have on Fleet which require you to be 30 + Minibuses not only require you to be 30+ but if you passed your Driving Test after 1997 your license will need to show a D1 which allows you to drive these vehicles. We can also accommodate 21+years drivers on certain vehicles. If you are in any doubt, please call us immediately on 01925 444750, and we will check to see if your circumstances match our requirements to hire
4. How much is the DEPOSIT & Excess
Central pre authorize a £350 deposit on a debit or credit card for all rentals. The Excess is £1000, however we do have options to reduce your excess, please ask for more details
5. What time can I collect my vehicle?
Anytime during office hours subject to availability
6. If any thing happens to the vehicle what am I liable for?
The deposit that is required when booking a vehicle is part of a £1000 excess. In the event of an accident the full excess is taken in all cases, until the insurance companies accept liablility. Certian items are not covered by insurance and are therefore chargeable to the hire in full i.e – Windscreen damage,tyre damage or punctures,engine damage due to lack of water ,oil or any other fluids, interior damage (Cig burns, rips to seats),fuel contamination.
7. Can I leave the vehicle outside your depot out of working hours?
Unfortunately we do not have any facilities for out of hours returns unless it has been pre arranged.
8. Can I take the vehicle abroad?
Yes no problem As long as we have enough time to make the necessary arrangements.
9. How much fuel will be in the vehicle?
All our vehicles are supplied on a like for like agreement .
10. Can I leave a cash deposit as I don’t own a debit card?
Unfortunately not, however you are able to use a family or friends card as long as they are here to sign the appropriate paperwork to allow us to use this card.
11. I Have the new style licence but I cant find the paper section is this ok?
Unfortunately the insurance companies are very strict; you must produce the full driving licence. However if you cannot find the paper part we do offer a service where we can ring the DVLA at a cost of £7.50 to yourself
12. What are Centrals opening Hours?
Central are open from:

Saturday: ————09:00 to 12:00

13. Can I still hire if I have got a few points on my licence?
Depending on what the points are for and how old they are it may still be possible to hire, contact rental staff to check.
14. Have I got unlimited mileage?
If the rental is for 1 day only then yes you have unlimited mileage, For longer rentals the mileage is 100 miles per day.
15. Will I be refunded for any extra fuel I put in the vehicle?
Unfortunately not, however our staff will advise you on the size of the tanks and how economical the vehicle is.
