Central help out at Warrington Veterans Breakfast Club trip to Eden Camp, Yorkshire
We asked the Armed Forces Community Support Hub a few questions about the trip and Central Self Drive’s role in assisting the charity.
What did Central do for Armed Forces Community Support Hub?
Central Self Drive supported this trip above and beyond the call of duty to allow this trip to happen. Without the support from Central, we would not have had the funds to undertake the trip which would have been detrimental to the aim of the Veterans Breakfast Club.
What was the highlight of the day?
The highlight of the day was two-fold. The first was to achieve something that I had promised to do in return for Centrals support in this trip, and that was to have a photograph of the veterans with the minibus underneath a Hurricane aircraft. Which incidentally created a lot of humour amongst other road users as we blocked the road to achieve it!!
And secondly was to see all of the military veterans enjoying a trip and receiving their feedback about the quality of the transport we were given that would not have been possible without the community spirit and support that Central have given us over the last few months. Many of our Veterans have underlying issues that we support and strive to assist with.
The trips out make a huge difference to the overall well-being of our guys and girls but, without assistance from local community businesses and individuals we could not achieve what we achieve…Thanks Central!
